We want to wish everyone a Fun & Safe Memorial Day weekend! Please remember to keep your dog safe while boating or camping with these helpful tips: -Make sure your dogs are up to date on vaccinations, Heartgard & Frontline Plus. -Have a current rabies & identification tag with a durable collar on your dog, including name,address & phone number. -Always make sure to bring extra water for your dog, some lakes, ponds, etc., are not safe for animal consumption. -Watch for signs of fatigue when swimming, dogs love the water and will swim themselves until their exhausted putting themselves at risk of injury and even drowning. MOST IMPORTANT -Any time your dog is outside, make sure he or she has protection from heat and sun and plenty of fresh, cold water. In heat waves, add ice to water when possible. Tree shade and tarps are ideal because they dont obstruct air flow, AND NEVER EVER LEAVE YOUR DOG IN YOUR CAR UNATTENDED!!! On a warm day a car can reach 120 degrees in a matter of minutes parked in the sun, even with the windows partially opened!!! Hope these tips are helpful. Have a great holiday weekend!
