We wanted to address the misinformation that has been circulating - TopicsExpress

We wanted to address the misinformation that has been circulating here and other places online about returns being processed with the IRS. Here are the facts: • We are successfully through the testing phase with the IRS and into day 2 of the filing season. We processed some returns during the testing phase as requested by the IRS. • On Friday morning we began transmission of returns to the IRS, and continue to process the backlog of returns today, tomorrow and on into next week. • We expect that the majority of clients with returns in the backlog have been, or will begin seeing acceptances of their returns by early this coming week. However, we also want to remind you that each return is unique and there may be reasons specific to that return that trigger a response that is not an acceptance from the IRS. If that happens, we will work with each of those clients to understand the notice that they receive. All of our systems communicating with the IRS are performing as expected and just like each of our clients, we monitor progress each and every day.
