We watched a brazen little film last night called RUBY GENTRY - you cant help but giggle at some of the dramatics - but the costumes and sets were done well. And, who doesnt like a dame that can shoot a rifle in a couture gown. .. .Ruby (Jennifer Jones) is a poor Southern girl who hopes to marry a rich man. Her boyfriend, Boake (Charlton Heston), doesnt think shes the marrying type, but wealthy businessman Jim Gentry (Karl Malden) happily makes her his bride. After Gentry dies in a suspicious accident, Boake renews his interest in Ruby, even though it seems as if she was responsible. Handsome Mr. Heston touts a gun throughout the entire film and gorgeous Miss Jones has more than 30 body hugging costume changes by Bill Edwards .. . .
