We went non-stop for almost 10 hrs today and got lots done (including a haircut!) At lunchtime I asked Logan where hed like to go. He named a local favorite, The Barn. We got there, parked and went to the door. Just as I touched the door handle I noticed the sign that said they opened at 3 on Tuesdays. It was noon. We were getting back into my truck when a man pulled up and went to the door. Suddenly their reeeeeeeeeally loud alarm siren started wailing. Logan looked at me and said See what happens?? I said I didnt do that!! He says Yes! You set it alarm! Fops come an get you! as hes shaking his head at me so I played it up. There was construction in sight with a cop on either side. I pretended to duck out of sight and whispered Did they see us?? We better get outta here! He started laughing hysterically as we left, alarm still blaring. We continued with our long list of errands, and while at the store the cashier was making small talk. She asked Logan if he was out of school today? He said yes. She asked what we were doing with our day? Runnin from it fops he says to her. She looked at him, then me. I just stared at her and smiled. What sweetie? she asked politely... Runnin. From. It. Fops. he says slowly Al did it alarm. Loud alarm. Fops chase us. Good thing we arent trying to be real criminals. Kid cant keep a damn secret.
