We went out on a 3 hour pelagic trip while on the Scillies and came across a huge flock of Shearwater, there were literally hundreds! The majority were Manx Shearwaters, but a thorough search produced a couple of Balearic Shearwaters and a single Sooty Shearwater but then from out of nowhere a magnificent Great Shearwater soared in and settled amongst the other seabirds. This was a magnificent sight as this is an extremely scarce bird in the UK. Then amazingly a second bird joined the first. Superb! These superb photos were by the skipper Joe Pender.
