We went to one of our favorite places this week. Left home at 4am Tuesday and planned on arriving at our destination (near Memphis) by 5pm. Cruising along at 70 mph in Missouri but came to a sudden stop one mile from the Arkansas border. It took 18 1/2 hours to go 68 miles through Arkansas on I-55. We were told they had an ice storm SUNDAY and they had no road trucks. Our battery died and a trucker helped us get started and showed us how to get to a place to get a new one (YAY TRUCKERS). When we came home Saturday, they had another back up in the south bound lanes because of accidents from sliding on ice (and the temperature was nearly 70). Gives you an idea how thick the ice was. Thank God we arrived home safe and sound.
