We were able to see Noah tonight. And I must say I was not very impressed. Actually, pretty disappointed. And its not because of a lack of accuracy or artistic license. The movie is just not very good, in my opinion. Ive seen low budget Christian films that were MUCH better. The storyline is disjointed, there are some pretty laughable characters (rock people that are not too far from the boulder monsters in Galaxy Quest), and there are some major holes in the presentation.....and Im not talking about Biblical inaccuracy. There are some decent special effects with the animals and the water, but that covers about 10 minutes tops....and this is a long movie. I wasnt offended from a Biblical point if view. Yes, there were holes in the theology, but there were in Evan Almighty, too...and I enjoyed that. :-) I expected much more of this one from a quality aspect. And its just not there, in my opinion. Will be very curious to see how it does long term at the box office.
