We were immensely blessed with city power all night long and I woke several times wishing I had put more than a sheet on the bed! (We almost never need more than a sheet and only need that to protect against mosquitos.) Waking up from cold instead of the sweat that pushes me out of bed to go swat mosquitos off my kids a few times each night was a welcomed change! I kept thinking about the fact that that sweatless sleeping and blankets on beds could actually be the norm very soon! Oh how little things like fans can make life so much sweeter! Good news! Yesterday in Port au Prince, Eric was able to find and purchase the 12 large batteries we need to hold charge once we get the generator! He got a great deal a bit under the listed purchase price we had budgeted for...which is a good thing because we may need to buy a better inverter than the one we have and are trying to stick to our budget for everything we need to get consistent power up and running. He also found a generator that he believes will work well for us and has reserved it for purchase next week! If Im this excited about sweatless sheets, Im over the top imagining being able to use our refrigerators and washing machine! Thank you so much to all those supporting us through prayers and finances so that we can stay and serve well in Haiti.
