We were in the Tala zone today. I wish Park authorities could hear - TopicsExpress

We were in the Tala zone today. I wish Park authorities could hear what comments tourists makes about them. We met two Park Managers from Gambia and Tanzania and they both could not stop laughing on the way the salt licks are put here in Bandhavgarh. I did told them that when I asked I was told that this is only to save it from monkeys because they walk away with salt licks. Other person a Professional French Photographer was damn angry on the poles sticking out in Chakradhara meadow and at Gopalpur pool. Yes it is right that the people who are managing our National Parks on Ground level has no knowledge about the definition of National Park. I know a British Photographer photographing two cubs playing in water, running, leaping on each other for fifteen minutes. He shot more than three hundred photographs. He was very happy at that time but very angry at dinner table. He deleted all those photographs barred one in which the man made bank of the pool was not visible. He is Andrew Parkinson who wanted to photograph a wild Tiger in a National Park in its natural habitat. While coming back I took few pictures only to put them here. One of the tourist who is here since last few days said that Salt licks wire at Gopalpur pool is broken and those two poles are there to destroy your scenic picture. He is very much right.
