We were just talking about this on the You know you grew up in Wenatchee when.. page the other day. For the fall of 1967, Columbia had no space for the incoming kindergarteners, so they were sent across the street to occupy a couple of rooms in the old Wenatchee High School. This photo appeared in the 1968 WaWa. My brother, Brian Lee Stephenson, is the 4th kid from the left with the solid color light shirt on. So Brian, as a 5-year-old, attended WHS two years before I did in 1969-70, as an incoming 10th grader. However, since the kids were technically assigned to Columbia, Im including the pic here.
