We were not called to change the world but to shine a light to the - TopicsExpress

We were not called to change the world but to shine a light to the world. Christ came not to put an end to what is bad, but to lay down the path to all that is good. Our battle is not an assault, but an evacuation, attempting to leave no man behind. Salvation is not offered to the world, but to the souls captive to the world. The ship is sinking fast, we either board our life boats and let the current carry us away on the path laid out for us, or we cling to our footholds and desperately try to patch the holes in a vessel destined for disaster. Enough life boats have been provided for all of us, but most will refuse to get in. Pride, love for the ship and all we have on board, fear, and contempt for the Coast Guard all grab us by the feet and pull us down to the darkness of the deep where there is no hope, no love, and no beauty. Not one soul will perish without first denying the chance for safety over and over and over. The waters themselves are held back for us, time stands still, and the waves fall silent. Still the human heart will hang on to sticks and stones, iron and steel, dirt and sand, and all else that has no future. Its only destiny is rust and decay, condemned to surely fade away. If only those who slave away patching the wholes in the ship would look up just for a moment and see the lighthouse beaming in front of them. None have sank too deep to swim towards the light, and in the end no one will testify that the light was never there. For those who seek shelter, help is not just on the way, its already there, and all are priority one on the evacuation list. This ship is not even real, it is nothing more than particles vibrating in disharmony. The only thing that is real onboard are the choices that we make and way out we choose to take.
