We would like to congratulate the First Responders and civilians whose actions were acknowledged at our 18th Annual Awards Ceremony held Wednesday April 23rd. The following employees were recognized for Excellent Attendance: Fulton Police Dept. D.C. Thomas Abelgore, Lt. William Clark, Inv. Michael Curtis, Inv. Aimee May, Ofc. Victor Kaufman Fulton Fire Dept. Lt. Steven Dexter, Lt. Mark Pollock, F.F. Robert Summerville, F.F. Daniel O’Mara, F.F. Chris Adkins Ofc. Brian Dumas received the Triumphant Award for scoring in the 90th percentile in the annual Fitness Challenge. FFD Capt. David Eiffe and FPD D.C. Thomas Abelgore received a Certificate of Excellence for scoring in the 85th Percentile Ofcs. Brandon Lanning, Jarrett Marino and Lucas Hollenbeck received Mayoral Commendations for the efforts in leading the department in Traffic Enforcement. Also recognized for traffic enforcement with Certificates of Commendation were Ofcs. Christopher Jones, Jeffrey Margrey, Victor Kaufman, Rick Hahn, Christian Dempsey, Brandon Harris and Brian Dumas. Ofcs. Jeremy Algarin and Lennet Whitmore (Ret.) were presented with the Meritorious Service Award for their actions in preventing a suicidal subject from jumping for a second story window. Ofc. Lucas Hollenbeck was presented with the Honorable Service Award for his role in the apprehending two subjects that were in the process of steal a large quantity of material from a local business. Ofc. Jones was presented with a Meritorious Service Award for his actions taken at the scene of a structure fire and subsequent arson investigation. Menter Ambulance Personnel Michael Zukovsky, Garrett Hauf and Ronald Frawley were presented the Life Saver Award for their efforts in reviving a subject who had gone into Cardiac Arrest. Sgt. Stephen Lunn Jr., Inv. Batstone and Lt. Russ Johnson (Ret.) were presented with the Exceptional Duty Award for their efforts in identifying the driver responsible for a fatal car pedestrian accident that occurred in 1968 which had gone unsolved for over four decades. Fulton Fire Dept. members Lt. Steven Dexter, Lt. Shane Laws, F.Fs. Edward Kasparek, Chris Adkins, and Ken Gleason as well as Menter Ambulance personnel Michael Zukovsky, Christopher Foy and Cory Richer were presented the Life Saving Award for their actions for saving a woman who suffered respiratory distress. Ofcs. Michael Blasczienski and Brian Dumas were presented with the Medal of Honor for their actions in notifying and evacuating residents of an apartment house that was on fire. Fulton Resident Edward Witkowski was presented the Civilian Service Award for his actions in extinguishing a fire in his neighbor’s basement. Fulton Resident Kiernan O’Neil (9 yrs old) Ofc. Gary Percival, Fulton Fire Lt. Mark Pollock, F.Fs. Randy Spencer, Chris Adkins, Chris Caza and Ryan Maxam along with Menter Ambulance personnel were the Life Saving Award for their actions in resuscitating a Fulton resident who had gone into cardiac arrest. And last but certainly not least, Officer Christopher Jones was presented with the Officer of the Year award while Firefighter Chris Adkins was presented with Firefighter of the Year.
