We would like to introduce you all to the newest member of the PPR family. We have decided to call him Barney. He is an old man around 8 years old. He was brought in as a stray to the shelter. We can tell that he has had a very very rough life. He is malnourished, anemic, has one extremely bad cataract in one eye, and a less severe cataract in the other, as well as several pretty badly worn/split teeth and several growths on his legs. He has extremely bad hair loss due to fleas so bad that they were literally jumping off of him to bite me when I was loving on him. He is a very sweet old boy that was probably tied to a tree on a chain for the majority of his life. When I first saw him today, he had given up. He was curled up in the back of his dog box and he would barely get up. He was very shy, very afraid, hurting all over. We gave him a bath and took him to the vet immediately. This old boy broke my heart and we are thrilled to have him in the PPR family. He is dog and cat friendly.
