We would like to tell people a little about how we work at Wild Acre Everybody at Wild Acre is a volunteer and have multiple roles within the rescue. We rely solely on donations and through our fundraising. We are run through foster homes meaning all of the animals are cared for within family homes, we feel this gives us a better understanding of the animals temperament therefore can match them to a suitable home. This also means everybody still has other commitments, jobs, family and their own pets. Once we have finished our ‘day jobs we are caring for our foster pets, fundraising, responding to calls/ emails/ letters, sorting donations, doing home visits and thats just one normal day! As you can imagine this is a lot of work especially all as voluntary BUT then at the end of the day to see an animal who came in in a terrible condition now happy and healthy it makes it all worth while. If you have an hour or two spare please get in touch, we are not denying it is hard work but so rewarding, there are roles for everyone.
