We would like your input on creating a show circuit within regions aimed at attracting other breeds and the grassroots Arabian/Half-Arabian/Anglo owners. ALL BREED CHARITY HORSE SHOW CIRCUIT GOALS: 1. To attract people outside the Arabian show horse world as well as Arabian owners at the grassroots level 2. To provide frequent low cost show venues for new owners and/or entry level riders/horses 3. To provide a Jackpot class at the Regional Championship show in which qualifying horses of any breed can compete and further exposing them to Arabian horses 4. To give part of the proceeds to a worthy charity to be chosen by the host region 5. To find sponsorship and funding on a local and regional level to offset expenses, offer prizes and participate in promotion OBJECTIVES: 1. To attract people outside the Arabian show horse world as well as Arabian owners at the grassroots level A. Regions and the local clubs in those regions will assist with and host an “All Breed Charity Show” as a part of the “All Breed Charity Show Circuit” in which horses can compete for All Breed Championship classes in their division and earn points toward qualifying for the All Breed Championship Regional Jackpot class in their division. B. Offer classes to All Breeds as well as specific breeds, as demographics indicate, always including Arabian/Half-Arabian/Anglo-Arabian classes, bringing in a variety of horse owners that wouldnt otherwise be exposed to Arabian horses C. Encourage local Arabian/Half-Arabian/Anglo-Arabian breeders/owners to participate gaining exposure to their program D. Coordinate with local saddle clubs, horsemen’s associations, breed organizations, etc. for support and participation 2. To provide frequent low cost show venues for new owners and/or entry level riders/horses A. Although sponsored/hosted by AHA organizations, “All Breed Charity Shows” are not AHA or USEF sanctioned shows to keep costs down and more affordable for the entry level competitor/owner; any wins or points do not go toward any other AHA/USEF program at this time B. As an encouragement for riding lesson programs, new owners and local middle income owners to participate, offer a variety of entry level classes such as Walk-Trot/Jog for age groups, Showmanship, etc. and for local trainers, offer green horse classes and/or Work-Tack classes 3. To provide a Jackpot class at the Regional Championship show in which qualifying horses of any breed can compete further exposing the public to Arabian horses A. The Region will offer All Breed Championship Jackpot classes for the following divisions: i. All Breed Championship Jackpot Western Pleasure ATR ii. All Breed Championship Jackpot Hunter Pleasure ATR iii. All Breed Championship Jackpot English (Saddleseat) 3 Gaited Pleasure ATR iv. All Breed Championship Jackpot Showmanship ATR v. Other as determined by demographics (i.e. reining, show hack, 5 gaited, hunter hack, trail, etc.) B. Specify qualifications for eligibility (i.e. points, local championship/reserve championship awards, etc.) 4. To give part of the proceeds to a worthy charity to be chosen by the host region A. At the local club hosted shows, allot $1 per class to be donated to the designated charity B. At the Regional show, allot a portion of the entry fee for the charity and give a booth to the designated charity where they can accept additional donations. C. Enlist a charity that will contribute to the volunteers, advertising and resources needed to support the All Breed Championship Jackpot classes at the regional show 5. To find sponsorship and funding on a local and regional level to offset expenses, offer prizes and participate in promotion A. Contact businesses to sponsor classes B. Contact businesses to sponsor ribbons/trophies C. Contact businesses to buy business card ads on Class Schedule D. Contact business to donate items as prizes
