We wrapped up our Lenten Series: Facing Death ~ Finding Life by commemorating the Last Supper. If you knew that you were going to die tomorrow, what would you tell your family and friends tonight? What would be the most important message that you would want them to hear? https://youtube/watch?v=ncoSRKoU6GQ A few years ago, a professor at Carnegie Melon, Dr. Randy Pausch, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. His final lecture was filmed and broadcast on the internet; especially the abbreviated version he gave while visiting the set of Oprah. But Dr. Pausch did not write the lecture for his students or for any of the other thousands of people that have watched it. He wrote it for his three children – Dylan, Logan and Chloe. You see, Randy wanted to make sure that when he left, when his children no longer had their father by their side that his words, his advice to them would live on. He chose not to talk about death, but about life – about how to be patient, how to apologize and how to give thanks. Dr. Pausch wanted to ensure that his children knew what he considered to be the most important aspects of a life well-lived.
