Weather Forecast for Kent – TUESDAY 23rd September - TopicsExpress

Weather Forecast for Kent – TUESDAY 23rd September ’14. While high pressure continue to stick close by, a weak cold front is expected to move slowly in from the north west tonight. TODAY . . . Once early low cloud and patchy fog does clear away this morning, we can expect decent sunny spells and only varied cloud amounts for the rest of today. However, cloud amounts will start to increase by late afternoon or evening time, most likely at around sundown, but it will stay dry anyway. Temperatures continuing to be on the mild side at 17 C to 18 C (63 F to 64 F) under a gentle south west breeze. All in all, another gentle and useful type of day, ideal for line washing and doing the garden. TONIGHT . . . It is going to become quite cloudy over the whole of the county tonight along with patchy fog and mist turning up in the usual prone low lying areas. The cloud layer may just be thick enough to give off the odd spits of light rain here and there in the small hours, but I expect precipitation amounts to be negligible. Despite the increased cloud cover, it is going to be a fairly cool and fresh night at 10 C to 14 C (50 F to 57 F), another comfortable night to sleep in. TOMORROW (Wednesday). . . Hopefully cloud and mist should burn/move away to lead to a day of sunny spells and varied cloud amounts. Temperatures getting up to 17 C (63 F) which is still fairly mild for this time of year. OUTLOOK . . . Staying mostly dry and settled for the rest of the week and into the weekend. However, as high pressure sits on top of us but decaying weather fronts gets tangled up in it, mist, low cloud and fog will be a regular feature by night time and may tend to take their time in clearing away during the day as winds fall calm, so I wouldn’t expect too much in the way of wall to wall sunshine if I were you. Temperatures close or above average but cool by night.
