Weather Outlook Issued at: 5:00 p.m. 04 August 2014 Valid until: 5:00 p.m. 10 August 2014 Monsoon rains will continue to prevail over Ilocos Region and Central Luzon. Residents in these areas are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience occasional rains. Visayas and CARAGA will have light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. This weather scenario is expected to persist until Tuesday (August 5). By Wednesday and Thursday (August 6 & 7) the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will continue to affect Luzon bringing Monsoon rains over Metro Manila, provinces of Ilocos, Bataan and Zambales. The rest of Northern and Central Luzon will have occasional rains. The rest of Luzon and Western Visayas will have light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. By Friday (August 08) Monsoon rains will continue over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region and Central Luzon. The rest of Luzon will experience occasional rains while Visayas and Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
