Weather Update Regarding Southwest Ohio/Warren County • The extent of the next winter storm event is starting Tuesday Afternoon and ending into early Wednesday before day break • Tuesday late afternoon probably between 7-8pm we should start seeing snow. Snow accumulations are predicted as follows: -2-3 inches in southern Warren County to Central Warren County -3-4 inches in Central Warren County to Northern Warren County -4-6 inches in uppermost Northern Warren County • Warren County is forecast for ice anywhere from 30%-40% chance of ice Tuesday evening • Tuesday late evening snow will transition over to rain/freezing rain (timing not specific at this point) • Heaviest precipitation will take place between 2200-2300 Tuesday • Ice accumulations for Warren County have been forecasted less than a ¼ inch • Another briefing can be expected to be released by 1600 today • The Ice threat accumulation/amounts still remains uncertain for Warren County but should be more predictable by tomorrow or as the storm becomes closer 1/2 accumulation on power lines can add 500 pounds of extra weight. One inch of ice on a single span of power line weighs as much as 1,250 pounds.
