Weather Update: Sunday was another warm afternoon for most parts of the Western Slope as high pressure and drier air continues to dominate the weather pattern. Heading into the work week though, things will begin to set up for another surge of monsoonal moisture. There will be a few extra clouds around for Sunday night, so look for partly cloudy skies in most spots overnight. Lows in the Grand Valley on Sunday night will be in the low to mid 60s. Monday will remain warm out ahead of the next approaching system from the west. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s for the valleys once again. Clouds and moisture will start to build late Monday afternoon and evening and overnight into Tuesday. Tuesday is when the Western Slope will see the best chance for showers and thunderstorms, as a trough moves into the region. Highs will therefore remain well below normal Tuesday and into Wednesday. Various waves of moisture will impact the region throughout the rest of the week, as most areas will keep a chance for isolated and scattered showers in the forecast. Meteorologist Brian Germ
