⚠ Weather Warning Level 2 ⚠ The Met Office has issued a cold weather warning which is due to come into effect in the afternoon of Boxing Day. Its the lowest level 2 yellow alert.There is also the risk of snow and strong winds in some areas. Although the Anglia region is not at highest risk of disruptive weather, there is considerable uncertainty over the exact track of storm system across the UK on Boxing Day into Saturday. There is an 80% probability of severe cold weather/icy conditions/heavy snow between 1500 hrs on Boxing Day and 0000 hrs on Wednesday in parts of England. This weather could increase the health risks to vulnerable patients and disrupt the delivery of services. Advice: Prolonged periods of cold weather can be dangerous, especially for the very young, very old or those with chronic diseases.
