Weather warning outlook for the next few days... Outlook: A rather cold snap all the way from Greenland on Tuesday with wintry showers, snow even down to lower levels inland. A storm then developing and sweeping eastwards during Wednesday with heavy rain and severe gales Wednesday night. A return to colder and showery weather from Thursday with snow at times, although the showers becoming confined to the N and W by Friday and Saturday. Tues 13: Frost and ice at first. Hail, sleet and snow showers. Fresh SW winds. Max 2 to 4C, feeling like below freezing. Wed 14: Heavy rain & flood risk. Snow on higher ground in the north. Strong to gale force SW winds with damage possible. Max 4C in N and 9C in S. Thu 15: Colder with sunshine and wintry showers. Risk of more general sleet and snow later over the north. Fresh to strong W winds. Max 4 to 6C. Fri 16: Cold. Mostly dry with sunshine in E and S. Blustery, wintry showers in the W and N. Max 3 to 5C, feeling like 0 to -2C. Sat 17: Cold and icy. Wintry showers over the N. Sunny S. Moderate to fresh NW winds. Max 2 to 5C
