Web Services (Walk through web designing and development using ASP.Net) A web service is again a web application similar to Asp.net web pages but Without the User Interface. It is basically a class consisting of methods that could be used by other applications. Suppose you make a web service application of providing the real time Stock Rates. Now this web service can be consumed by other applications (web applications, desktop applications, mobile applications etc.) to show the stock rates within the application.
