Webster Parish Rules on Loud noise Sec. 13-2.5. - Excessive noise.permanent link to this piece of content (a) It shall be unlawful to make, cause to be made, or to allow excessive noises within the unincorporated area of Webster Parish which is in excess of the average intensity of street and traffic noise within the particular area. (b) Definitions. For the purpose of this section the following terms have the meaning hereinafter prescribed to them: (1) Noise shall be interpreted to include radios, amplifiers, musical instruments, television, horns, yelling, screaming, or any device for making sound. (2) Street and traffic noise shall mean the normal intensity of street noise in that particular area at any particular time. (c) Exceptions. Nothing in here shall prohibit a person from engaging in lawful conduct within the boundaries of their own premises as long as the noise does not exceed the boundaries of their own premises. (d) Whoever shall violate any of the provisions of this section, shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or be imprisoned for not more than six (6) months, or both. (e) If any portion of this section is deemed invalid, then the other provisions hereof shall remain in full force and effect.
