Wednesday, 17th December GRACE CONNECTIONS “And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost” (Luke 1:41) There are certain people whom God has placed on your path of destiny to help you fulfill your purpose and inspire His will in you. And there are others whose words and actions are targeted at undermining the gifts and calling of God upon your life, because you are a threat to the devil—their master. You don’t need every body’s friendship; you simply need the right people, the people God has sent to you, the Grace connections! Peter the Apostle called such folks, “those of like precious faith” (1 Pet. 1:1). What a description! Don’t waste your time trying to explain yourself to those who constantly criticize you. It’s unnecessary. If every time you spend with someone your faith gets weaker and you become more conscious of your faults, turn away from such. Invest time with people whose presence stir up your faith, whose words trigger your dreams, whose smiles stimulate your confidence. Leave those who constitute “a minus” and stay more with those who add up to “a plus”. Nobody ever stayed with Jesus and left depressed, confused or condemned, except the Pharisees, who were trouble-makers! Act like Jesus. Let people find their confidence restored and strength refreshed in your presence. Help others see how special they are, not how special you are. That was the kind of person Elizabeth was. When she heard Mary was pregnant without a husband, she didn’t join the rumor-mongers. Rather, she received her with joy. At the sound of Mary’s greetings, baby John somersaulted in Elizabeth’s womb and the Holy Ghost came on her and she prophesied! She was a Grace-Connection for Mary! Surround yourself with Grace-people, stay with those who carry something like yours, whose greetings will cause your baby to leap inside. Be a Grace-connection for someone today! Prayer: Holy Father, I thank you for your word for me today. I receive this wisdom and put it to work in my life. Thank you for all those around me and beyond, whom you’ve used to bless me as a grace-connection. I ask that you bless them today and increase them on every side in Jesus Name. Amen.
