Wednesday 29/01/2014 The love of a True Father to his children – God is always ready to accept us despite our mistakes and sins. If we make mistakes in life, He corrects us in a proper way which He wishes yet in such occasion as you are experiencing now his love is still infinite on you. Listen to Him as He speaks to us personally: ἐγὼ ἔσομαι αὐτῷ εἰς πατέρα καὶ αὐτὸς ἔσται μοι εἰς υἱόν καὶ ἐὰν ἔλθῃ ἡ ἀδικία αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐλέγξω αὐτὸν ἐν ῥάβδῳ ἀνδρῶν καὶ ἐν ἁφαῖς υἱῶν ἀνθρώπων. τὸ δὲ ἔλεός μου οὐκ ἀποστήσω ἀ{P} αὐτοῦ καθὼς ἀπέστησαἀ{F} ὧν ἀπέστησα ἐκ προσώπου μου - Ego ero ei in patrem, et ipse erit mihi in filium: qui si inique aliquid gesserit, arguam eum in virga virorum, et in plagis filiorum hominum. Misericordiam autem meam non auferam ab eo, sicut abstuli a Saul, quem amovi a facie mea – I will be a father to him, and he shall be a son to me. And if he does wrong, I will correct him with the rod of men and with human chastisements; but I will not withdraw my favour from him as I withdrew if from your predecessor Saul, whom I removed from my presence 2 Sam.7:14-15. Though we may not understand it or think that God has abandoned us, not at all. Let us also think about ourselves because we chose to do otherwise many a time. God corrects us in different forms in what we see in our lives and still need our sincere repentance, confession, contrition and penance. In all these, His presence is ever with us hence he said: In æternum servabo illi misericordiam meam, et testamentum meum fidele ipsi - I will continue my favour towards him forever, my covenant with him shall remain unbroken Ps.89:29. Therefore, in a severe situation though very hard to bear, let us always pray with the biblical Job thus: Nudus egressus sum de utero matris meæ, et nudus revertar illuc. Dominus dedit, Dominus abstulit; sicut Domino placuit, ita factum est. Sit nomen Domini benedictum - Naked I came when I left my mother’s womb, and whence I came, naked I must go. The Lord gave, the Lord has taken away; nothing is here befallen but what was the Lord’s will; blessed be the name of the Lord Job.1:21. Let us be aware that in all conditions, the love of the True Father is still on us, therefore patient always for there is no limit for patience towards God.
