She is a traditional dancer, a sacred pipe carrier, an educator, a childrens author and co-facilitator of shamanic training programs based on the Way of the Circle for the Canadian Centre for Shamanic Studies at Northern Edge Algonquin retreat centre in central Ontario. Jan has been on the path of spiritual illumination since a profound experience at the age of 12. She has made many sacred journeys around the world at the request of Spirit to work with the ancestors, the Earth and the energy fields. Jan has written 6 books for children and youth, all centred around spirit and her Indigenous roots. She holds deep heart-felt gratitude for all of her many teachers from Nature, the 4 directions of the Sacred Hoop, the Star Nations and the many realms seen and unseen.
