Wednesday December 10 Happy 1 month anniversary !!! Last night he was more responsive than the night before. Remember he is still on sedation medication (lower dose than before) , he also has some of this sleep medication still in his blood , which means he is always drowsy and sleepy - He can be alert and awake some times. No changes with his heart and he still has the tube in his mouth going into his lungs, (so he cant speak of course). His immunity is improving again. No body movements yet also because his muscles are still very very weak (imagine lying down for 1 month). Funny thing happened last night when I went to see him. One of his nurses, Sunita (a sweet Indian ICU nurse) was talking to him and asking questions. But for some reason, he was not responding, then she said in a louder voice : “Baba are you hearing me?” , he then shook his head vigorously Indian Style (up and down, diagonally, left and right) !!!! Both Sunita and I started laughing... So anyway, its good news that he didnt lose his sense of humor !!! Tomorrow we have a family meeting with the doctors to discuss and finally decide on a course of action ... so tomorrows update will come between 4pm-7pm Abu Dhabi time , and not before ...
