Wednesday, December 17th, 2014: Creative COOP of Rosendale and the Center for Alqonquian Culture [CAC] is co-hosting its first-ever screening of FOOD FOR CHANGE with Evan Pritchard, Stacy Lipari, Etaoqua and other speakers. This new 85 minute documentary film by Steve Alves presents the definitive history of the COOP movement and why it is so important for our mutual future. Discussion afterwards will include the effect of coops on the environment, and any up-to-date news from Hunger Mountain Coop, making international headlines by taking on Congress in defense of the Vermont (GMO) labeling act which it helped to write. Also, Evan and Mohican elder Etaoqua, will compare Algonquian economic practices to the cooperative model.
