Wednesday December 3, 2014 GOD HEALS! And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. (Exodus 15:26) Diseases know where to go and where not to go. Based on the above Scripture, God resists sicknesses on behalf of those who listen to Him. This means that obedience ensures that we stay in health. People cannot live the way they want and expect to be healthy and whole. “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases. (Psalms 103:1-3) Sin works against good health. It is through sin that the enemy can come in to steal, kill and destroy. This is why Jesus was either telling the sick people that their sins were forgiven or they should be healed. Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion. (Mark 2:9-12) God heals; therefore we have to know how to receive the healing and keep it. Also, we have to know that with our God, there is nothing like incurable disease. Thus, we have to approach Him as little children and sheepishly exercise faith for our healing of whatever kind. The same way somebody with migraine goes to Him for healing, someone with a bad temper should also humble himself and receive healing. As we draw near, by faith, we will be healed and made whole of all manner of sicknesses in our earthly walk with Him. DIGEST 1. Healing is first for Gods children. Are you His child? 2. Health glorifies God while sickness does not. 3. Jesus received stripes so that humanity can be healed. CONFESSION: By the stripes of Jesus I am healed, whole and healthy. PRAYER POINTS 1. Lord, I humbly ask You to heal me in every area of my life in Jesus name. 2. Lord, heal the sick in my local church and give them a new lease of life in Jesus name. 3. Lord, give me boldness to heal the sick as I evangelise in Jesus name, PRAYER Heavenly Father, keep me in obedience to Your word so that my healing will be permanent in Jesus name.
