Wednesday June 25, 2014. A stroll in the park with the Local Hikes Committee to Hoegees Campground from Chantry Flats, (4-5 miles/800 or maybe a little more ft of gain). Very pleasant hike through the canyon with a nice cool temperature. I wanted to know how I would feel to go for a little hike just for a change without bagging a peak. Yikes!! I was doing great, having fun, enjoying the beautiful canyon and the good company until I came across the sign that read: Mt. Wilson 6.4 >>>>>> and I wanted to go for the mountain tugged at my heart strings. I knew that I did not have a chance, reason why I continued hiking following the leader, and pretending I did not see the sign it took me a few minutes to get it out of my mind, but sooner than later I was enjoying every minute of the hike again. Glad I went, but probably this will not happen anytime soon !! Im addicted to the HPS Peaks! and I admit it!
