Wednesday, November 12: We went to therapy today and we are finishing a lot of testing to show how much progress Dane has made. Many of the things we are testing, we could not even attempt when we started. It is not only the physical things but the cognitive as well. Today Dr Mari, said that Dane even sounded different to her. He is starting to sound like Dane more and more. The testing is hard, and it is tiring for him both mentally and physically. At lunch, he ate well and then put his head down on the table and rested until his next therapy. It is the first time he has done that. I worried that he would not do well at vision therapy because of his fatigue, but he did better than he has ever done. He broke nearly every record on every exercise that he does. That kid is amazing. So we came home and we had supper and he was ready for the bath. So we will rest up for the day ahead and we praise God for His provision in this day. I marvel at the strength of this child and the absolute unwaivering faith that he has. I am humbled to be a part of this little man’s life. God continues to bless and heal Dane and He continues to teach me. I continue to be overwhelmed by the very real presence of the Father in our lives. We have 2 more – yes 2 more therapy sessions in Dallas. It will be 26 weeks since Dane’s accident when we finish therapy. I am thankful beyond words, overcome with the sheer magnitude of Dane’s healing and forever changed by the Grace of God and the love of a little boy. “These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold -- and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.” 1 Peter 1:7 Glory to God…………..Sunday’s coming………..
