Wednesday morning motivation: Promised Land The people - TopicsExpress

Wednesday morning motivation: Promised Land The people refused to enter the promised land, for they wouldnt believe his promise to care for them. Instead, they grumbled in their tents and refused to obey the LORD. ~ Psalms 106:24-25 (NLT) There was a place full of peace and joy. It was the promised land, a land of milk and honey. It represented His presence, blessing and provision. However, the people refused to enter. Why? They refused to believe that God would care for them. We would like to think this only applied to the Israelites, but the truth is, we often feel the same way. A friend dies, we lose our job, misfortune is at our door and all of a sudden God seems distant, His promises shallow. We begin to grumble and the promised land begins to vanish. But just because we feel a certain way and begin to think negative thoughts doesnt mean we have to continue that way. We have a choice. We can repent and take responsibility for our thoughts, renounce negative thinking and pronounce Gods truth. Today, choose faith. Put doubt, fear, anger, grumbling behind you. Choose to trust in Gods love and His promise to care of you. PRAYER: Father, forgive me for grumbling. Forgive me for my lack of faith and doubt. Help me today to trust in You and believe Your promise to care for me. AMEN. Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!
