Wednesday we sailed into the Trollfjord from Solvaer #Lofoten, both for the joy of the trip and sea eagles. The trip was... how shall I put it ... interesting en exciting. Unfortunately my stomach doesnt like rough sea that much and the sea was more than rough with waves over 3 meters seen from our small boat. But inside the Trollfjord it was alright and the sea eagles did a good job, interested and curious, not very scared. About the pictures... just google on sea eagles and most of the pictures youll find are the catch. A fish (mostly injected with air so itll float), the eagle comes and catches the fish from the water. The moment of the catch seems to be the most ultimate moment of eagle-photography. Although Im always very impressed by the eagles, Im figuring out whta more you can do with the pictures. I made the catch too but it didnt satisfy me at all. So I concentrated on pictures of the eagle against the shapes of the snowy mountains. Curious... this eagle had a branch stuck in his white tail, no nesting material... just stuck...
