Wednesdays Spotlight, Getting to Know.....The News Progress! In business since 1884, The News Progress started out as the Chase City Clipper, four years later it was changed to the Chase City Progress and over the years it has expanded and now it is The News Progress. This newspaper covers the communities of Chase City, Clarksville, Boydton, South Hill, La Crosse and Brodnax. Teresa Glascock Elliott the General Manager/Account Executive of the News Progress states that the newspaper is diverse. Their work isn’t limited to just office work, they often are out and about covering current news stories. What she loves about her job is that she gets to see lots of people each day and cherishes the friends she has made and values the relationships she has have formed doing this job which she considers priceless. Her team at the Chase City office is Pamela Moore, Office Manager/Paginator, Dallas Weston, News Editor, Bob Howerton, Sports Editor, Tammy Tillotson and Bernice Speer, Social Column contributors. Their mission is to be a written and visual record of what makes our community special.
