Week 24 – School 197 words “Johnny’s Dilemma” A class has a “career day” with parents talking about their job to the class in year 3. Teacher introduces little Chantal’s mum who is the local branch bank manager, Mrs Snell. Mrs Snell talks about being a bank manager, what it means you can do and how important a good education is needed to reach this position you need a good education. She finished by asking the class if they had any questions ? A few kids ask questions. Mrs Snell answers them happy she may be making a difference in the long run to these childrens’ lives. A girl asks how much money does the bank handle and Mrs Snell smiles and says millions! Then Johnny puts up his hand, who for once has been sitting quietly taking it all in. Mrs Snell: The boy in the back corner, what’s your question ? Johnny: So you never have a bath then ? The class go dead silent, the teacher gasps but without missing a beat Mrs Snell says: Yes I do, every day Johnny, why is that ? Johnny: Cause I heard my dad say if you got millions then you are filthy rich !! Lucy Wheeler©
