Week 5, 2014 – Texas Revolution Hey Fans, In a better offensive performance on Sunday, we were treated to seeing UW Oshkosh All American Nate Wara take his first professional snap at Quarterback. After replacing Taylor Perkins in the second quarter, Nate threw for one TD and ran for 2 more as the Blizzard lost again 58 to 39 to the Cedar Rapids Titans. The defense did a good job of holding down Titans RB LaRon Council to just 90 yards rushing (down from 140 the week before). Former Blizzard QB Spencer Ohm had probably the best game of his professional career going 12 of 18 for 157 yards and 5 TD’s. He also ran for 53 yards. Spence did lose 2 fumbles but had an outstanding game. The Blizzard fly to Dallas this weekend to play the Texas Revolution Saturday night at 7:00. The Revolution are lead by rookie QB Jimmy Coy. Coy has thrown for 6 TD’s with only one INT. Former Chicago Bear and Sioux Falls Storm standout, Clinton Solomon is the primary receiver and Freddy Solomon Jr is a weapon on kick returns. The Revolution will be playing their third game and have a 1 and 1 record. You can watch the game on America One or at Burkel’s One Block Over behind the Stadium View on Canadeo Run. Hope to see you at Burkel’s on Saturday night! Go Blizzard! Mitch Nolan
