Week 6 Recap Well start with my game against Chris. Both of us were looking for our 2nd win of the season and a chance to turn our seasons around. My team played very well, and was led by Geovani Benard (28), but no one else scored 20 or more. Even so, I wound up with a good score of 132, ordinarily enough to win. But this was no ordinary day for Chris. He had 5 of his players score at least 20 points and put up a league high of 159, earning himself his 2nd win of the year. Nate and Andrew squared off this week, and Andrew has gotten use to his team putting up some high numbers. But this was not his week. With CJ Spiller, Kendall Wright, and Niles Paul combining for a total of 1 point, Andrew ended up with not just his own lowest score of the year, but a league wide lowest score of the year, with only 76 points. But things didnt go so well for Nate either. Seven of his 9 players score in the single digits, totaling only 36 points. However, Nates favorite fantasy players rewarded him in a big way as Cam Newton and Matt Forte both put up 37 points for a combined 74, and gave Nate the 110-76 win. Our third game featured our only undefeated team going into the week, as Cory Joy (5-0) took on John (3-2). It started off well for John, scoring 37 points from TY Hilton in the Thursday night performance. Jordy Nelson gave him another 25 points on Sunday afternoon. While Cory Joy fought and fought, it just wasnt meant to be as no one on his team scored 20 or more points except for the Broncos defense (23). And so six weeks into the season, we have no more undefeated teams, as Cory Joy loses to John 101-131. Susie went into the week tied with me for last place, and would face a tough task going up against Jt. Perhaps feeling merciful, Jt attempted to make it easy for Susie, leaving Andrew Luck on his bench, and by watching his Panthers defense give him -8 points. Susie certainly put forward a great effort getting great games from Aaron Rodgers (31) and Desean Jackson (23). But apparently Jt didnt account for Demarco Murray (26) and Demaryius Thomas (28) putting up big numbers and keeping Susie tied for last place as Jt got the win 100-95. In what was a high scoring affair, Robert and Greg both put up big numbers this week. Greg was led by Peyton Manning (27), Andre Johnson (20), and the Detroit defense (33). Roberts defense didnt give him any help as the Chargers gave him -2 points, but Branden Oliver (22) and Steve Smith (25) kept him close to Greg. In the end though, Robert must have sold his soul as the Evil Tom Brady up the 2nd most points in the league this week, with 42, and led Robert to a 158-137 victory over Greg. Weekly Awards: Highest Team Score: 159, Chris Highest Scoring Player: 45, Joe Flacco, Free Agent. Unlucky Loser: 137, Greg, 3rd highest score of the week. Most Points Left on Bench: 24, Cory Hostetter, Matthew Stafford (13) started, with Colin Kaepernick (37) on the bench.
