Week 6 Review - Seamen Get Sprung & Go Off On Monks During the early games on Sunday, it seemed the Seamen were going to put another dud in the cannon as they had QB Flacco on their bench with 47 points in the first half alone. Yes, they still had QB Brady as the starter, but 47 points in the first half of a game ... loss number 6 for the Seamen looked inevitable. But QB Brady came to work and put up 49 points of his own to help lead the Seamen over the Monks by 30 points. An impressive (though little late) first win for the Seamen who know find themselves tied with the Monks at 1-5 in the south at the end of divisional play. The Blitz continued their roll by beating the Massacre also by 30 points, 102-72. It was a costly day for the Blitz though. With RB Ingram already having been OUT for several weeks, the injury bug struck hard taking down WR Salsa-Time Cruz and RB Ridley, both now expected to be OUT for the remainder of the season. Team Omega continues its domination of the West going 6-0 during the divisional games by besting the Pink Panthers 148-84. The loss snaps a brief two-game wining streak by last years champs. They find themselves is a three-way tie for second in the West at 2-4. Likely the most unlucky team in this years league, The Beantown Bulldogs snapped their losing streak and sent the Thunder Buddies looking for shelter 98-54. While only managing a 2-4 record, The Bulldogs are fifth in the PF race and have had a whopping 584 PA. Divisional play has not be nice to these bottom three teams in the West. Theyll be hoping for some help now that Omega has to play outside the division. The Martinis are riding a three game winning streak and are in a tie with their arch rivals FU at 4-2 at the top of the East. Those Dirty Martinis have jumped to third in the PF race and seem to be a team hitting their stride after another strong showing 116-99 over the Ruffnecks. The Ruffnecks have been very unpredictable this season. At times they seem like a force and at other times seems to be wishing to be Rome, Rome on the Range... FU came back from being torched in Week 5 to beat the Blue Steel 113-85. The Steel are looking forward to getting out of divisional play as they now own the current longest losing streak at five games. AND THEN THERE WAS THE NORTH....The theme of the week in this division has to be the ties. Not the nice ones you wear with your best suit. Not the ugly Christmas ties to go with your favorite ugly sweater. AND dont even get me started on that Cincinnati debacle that cost me my last survivor team in another league !! For the life of me, I cannot figure out what is going on with these four teams. Does anybody want to win this division? All four teams come out of divisional play at 3-3. Tink Tink had just enough titanium to outlast Team Booth 102-95. But just to make things interesting, the TDs whipped off the underwire again, distracting the Achievers from achieving any more scoring, and both teams found themselves stuck in a deadlock at 84. As a result, by rule, the home team was granted the W. Do you all remember that there are prizes at stake here? Well, I suppose you have another eight weeks to get it all sorted out. Good luck to all in Week 7 PF Race Omega 675 Blitz 642 Martinis 611 Ruffnecks 606 Bulldogs 569 DA COMMISH
