Week Two of Marriage Maintenance at City on a Hill Church. This Friday Eve. 7pm Join us as we begin our session with the Role of the Husband. God tells the husband that he is the Governor, the Guide and the Guardian of the home. Lets look ahead to a small snippet (cute word) of Friday’s lesson: Philippians 2:6-7 Christ, in the form of God (there’s the authority) made Himself of no reputation (there’s the humility) took upon him the form of the servant (there’s the assignment). As Husbands, we are to love our wives just as Christ loves the Church. The above scripture reveals the way Christ chose to love us. Jesus is God so we know he has authority. Husbands are the head of the wife so we know we have authority too. Jesus made himself of no reputation. That’s our cue Guys. If Jesus can choose not to be a dominating leader, but walk in Humility even when wearing the mantel of authority…then we can too. We will show you how. Jesus by choice, took upon Himself the form of the servant. Well, its right there for us too men. We as husbands, use our authority to SERVE….not to RULE MARRIAGE MAINTENANCE TRUTH NUMBER 1 LEADERSHIP WITHOUT HUMILITY IS TYRANNY!
