Weekend Research: You have likely been told, or may have in fact told someone, that a low carb diet is best for losing weight. Well, as Ive mentioned before, its all about the calories! A review published a few days ago found that when matched for calories there was no difference in weight loss, as well as many other health markers (blood pressure, total cholesterol, etc.) in low carb versus a balanced diet at the 3-6 month and 1-2 year marks in diabetic and non-diabetic populations. Dont be afraid of carbs. Use them to fuel your workouts so you can build more muscle which will facilitate more fat loss!
