Weekend Updates: Girls Track: The girls track team won the regional meet on Friday night at home. It was the first regional championship for the girls track team since 2006. Individual regional champions included: Jasmine Harper in the 1600m, 800m, and 3200m. Kyrsten Kruskamp in the 300m hurdles, the 3200m relay team of Victoria Harper, Jasmine Harper, Holly Pummell, and Lindsay Winter, and the 1600m relay team of Kodi Humphrey, Paige Gould, Madison McPhee, and Lindsay Winter-which qualifies them for the state finals. Also qualifying for the state finals were, Kyrsten Kruskamp in long jump, and Victoria Harper in the 1600m and 3200m run. Outstanding job ladies- you make us all proud! Boys Track: Congrats to the boys track team for placing 4th in one of the most competitive Regionals in the state on Friday. Many season PRs were set and highlights include state-qualifying performances from Hunter Nivison in the 1600 and 3200, Devin Ayers in the 300 hurdles, and Chase Field in the pole vault, who became Clares first Regional champion in many years by crushing the sophomore record by a full foot.
