Weekend church chat... 1. Malachi, passing the peace of Christ does NOT mean giving the peace out sign to people seated around you, I told my 6-year-old son. 2. During the close of communion, the priest drank from the chalice one last time. Must be yummy, Malachi said, as his teacher overheard. He got every last drop! 3. Daddy, I want to be the pope when I grow up, Malachi informed me. Its good to set your sights high, I replied without cracking a smile. Im sure the Vatican needs a comedian.
