This piece is from a unique series of neofossils by Christopher Marley, creations wherein select species of vertebrates are meticulously skeletonized then embedded in an organic, stone-like matrix. Species used are those which are either harmful to humans and are removed from populated areas, or that are commercially propagated and are taken from an established food chain, thereby minimizing the impact on wild populations while benefiting indigenous people in their respective areas.
