The value of the gift basket is yet to be determined as merchant’s are contributing daily. If you have the spirit of Christmas in your heart and can donate a gift card or certificate to the basket please get a hold Cheryl at the Chamber office; 364-3241. All proceeds from the raffle go towards the scholarship programs for Mountain Valley and Dirigo High. Christmas in the Valley —Dec. 6th Parade; Dec. 7th Craft Fair! 29 spots are still available for the Christmas in the Valley Craft Fair that is being held on Dec. 7th at Mountain Valley High; 9-2pm. Download your registration form at rivervalleychamber or email info@rivervalleychamber for one. Juried fair; handmade or homemade items only. A N I N V I T A T I O N ---------2013 To participate in the Rumford celebration of the Christmas in the Valley parade and help welcome the spirit of Christmas! Let’s all join in, volunteer our time and show the River Valley the best parade ever! WHEN: Friday, December 6th, Parade starts promptly at 6:30 pm RAIN, SNOW OR SHINE!!!!!! WHERE: Lineup will begin at Mountain Valley High School with registration opening at 4:30 pm at the 2nd entrance (Gymnasium entrance). The parade start promptly at 6:30 will proceed up Hancock St. down Lincoln Avenue, up Waldo St and will end up on Congress St. in Rumford. The floats will be stopped on Congress St while Santa goes to perform the tree lighting ceremony. THEME: “Christmas Wonderland” HOW: Get with your staff, friends and/or family…put your imaginations to work and design a float to take part in the parade. Fill out the registration form below and return it to the Chamber at 10 Bridge Street in Rumford. JUDGING: Judging starts promptly at 5:30 pm. Entries will be judged on creativity, originality and how well they depict the theme. PRIZES: First, second and third place awards will be presented in two categories: Non-profit/civic and Commercial/Business. Banners will be placed in front of each of the winning floats so spectators will know who the winners are. FMI: The River Valley Chamber office at 364-3241.  ALL REGISTRATIONS ARE DUE IN BY NOVEMBER 26th. As you know, the River Valley Chamber of Commerce produces the River Valley Directory - Four Seasons Guide annually. Over 10,000 are published and distributed throughout the (7) State Information Centers in Maine, the Rumford Information Center and in relocation packets.
