Weekly Update July 31 & August 3, 2014 PLEASE READ! We have tried weekly to use this “Pink Sheet” to keep you updated on progress relating to our building project. Please carefully consider the following. • Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!: To those who came to clean the construction area last weekend and to those who turned out this past Wednesday evening to help with the landscaping tasks. Your labor of love is much appreciated. • What’s next? We still have some landscaping to finish. Until it is done we will need workers each Wednesday evening beginning at 4:00 p.m. The major items on the work list include: readying our grounds for planting of grass seed; building a fence around the retention pond; and laying pavers near the school entrance. • Cooperation! Beginning this week construction activity will resume in the Ministry Center and the church. The fireplace is being constructed and installation of the acoustical panels in the church will begin. For that reason we are closing off access to that area of our building until further notice. We thank you ahead of time for your understanding and cooperation. • Band Saw! For those who didn’t see it last week we are repeating the publication of the following email. “My 40-year-old band saw has passed away while in the line of duty. We dont need nor do we want a new one since it only is used occasionally. However, maybe a member has one in good condition that they would consider loaning (or donating) to the St Peter workshop.” Please contact the church office if you are in a position to respond to this need. • CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY! This past week construction workers from Keller returned and began the installation of the acoustical panels into the church, a task that will take approximately 10 workdays. The cross for the front of the church has been constructed by our wood workers and is now in the process of being stained. Sometime in the next two weeks it will be set into place in the chancel. The mantel over the fireplace was finished and stained this last week. The last of the window treatments were hung throughout the facility. PRAYER! Lord Jesus, as we enter the last lap of our construction project, please continue to be with us and to bless us. Let the fruit of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control – be evident among us (Galatians 5:22,23). “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” Psalm 127:1
