Weeks of Prayer are an annual tradition of worship and spiritual growth on many Adventist college and university campuses. The 2014 Fall Revival at Pacific Union College (Monday October 6-Sabbath October 11) included a series of daily sermons from the university chaplain, Jon Henderson. Sermon titles included “Adam and God,” “Adam and Eve,” “Adam and Nudity,” “Adam and Mommy,” “Adam and Jesus,” and “Adam and Love.” The video for the Wednesday message, “Adam and Steve,” was viewed by more than 30,000 unique visitors around the world before the college administration pulled it and all other Week of Prayer messages from the PUC Church Livestream archive. Until October 29, audio for the full series was still available through the college church podcast ministry. These audio files were also removed without explanation by October 30. We believe it is important for the Adventist community to share messages of grace, truth, love, and humility, not to whisper them behind closed doors or censor them to dodge aggressive criticism. We hope that this message blesses you as it has already blessed more than 30,000 people. May the Word of God be heard.
