Welborne Standing Conference. This is a bit of a dry subject but please bear with me as you need to know this as it exposes the disgusting way Fareham Council are behaving in steamrollering through Welborne against public opinion - this is how they are doing it!! So Standing Conferences. There was one last week - these are meetings to discuss the real meat on the bone of Welborne with interested parties/ community groups, and please read on as I think you will be genuinely shocked how the latest one was conducted. So it starts at the meeting with all of Fareham Council grouped together at one end of table - no attempt whatsoever to interact with the community present. They are run by someone called Henry Clearly (? Yeah me neither) and supposed to be unbiased, but clearly not, as at this latest meeting any tricky discussion was ignored or quickly moved on rather than debated. And who chose this Henry Clearly anyway in this role? (have a guess) ;-) Cllr Unmentioable I am told would not even look at those people whose views he obviously felt were unimportant - there he was sat alongside another senior Tory - who was constantly tutting and shaking his head and sitting sprawled as if in his armchair at home, with obvious disregard for any views not his own. All agenda items appeared to have been set by Fareham Council, totally biased, them dictating items they wish us to know and absolutely no discussion of the real stumbling blocks I.e. discussion about how residents bins would be disguised (!) rather than discussions about sewerage, drainage, traffic etc. I mean, get that!! They are still at this stage withholding any real facts from the community, even the name of the Govt Inspector!! and the preferred M27 J10 option - which could have a massive affect on many (and will go through common land) - still no detail!! Speaking to others I am told they also came away frustrated and disheartened yet again, particularly by the antics of Cllr Unmentionable, and share our complete disappointment in how these supposedly key meetings are being conducted. This was I believe another debacle of many. And this is the mechanism for deciding the detail of Welborne so its not like it isnt important - they are delivering 6500 houses onto 1000 acres of green fields - in your name. At the end of this period they will simply claim full consultation and say debate has occurred with all groups, and deliver what they want anyway! Those in attendance last week apparently witnessed Cllr Unmentionables condescending, rude patronising attitude and his untruths. And yet again he singled out and threatened Funtley as we remain a huge thorn in his side. Personally, behaving like a spoilt child - he singled out our Chairman and our society for his unique style of treatment, for instance there were personal attacks and continuous promotion of a complete set of untruths. I mean, do you like alll that? - are you happy with it??? Being done in your name. To add ultimate insult to injury it was apparently suggested to us that we send a cardboard cut out or a nodding dog to the next meeting - I mean, get that!!! Thats how they view any kind of opposition. Charming. So today Im exposing the sham of these meetings - I believe FBC are only getting away with this as they not being reported on properly (shame on you the News yet again), so today Im exposing this to all of you - so called community involvement being done with the behaviour and methods of some tinpot South American Junta. And all in your name. Because of the huge mandate he thinks he has (he hasnt by the way) - I believe he thinks he can get away with this or any damn behaviour he wants. Sod democracy.
