Scripture of the Week: Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” News and Notes Remember in Prayer: Gloria Robertson saw her doctor in St. Louis and they determined that she will not have chemotherapy and radiation treatments. She is doing well. Linda Baker is home recovering from a broken arm. Bill Baker is also having health issues. Brenda Williams has now finished her chemotherapy and will see an oncologist in Memphis for check-ups. Clydene Nelson is taking infusion treatments for a year and needs our prayers and would enjoy cards. Larry Mink will be undergoing treatments after his surgery. Bill Workman will be starting his chemotherapy treatments on the 22 nd of this month for six months. He had surgery to insert his port on Thursday. Helen Coleman is now taking medications to help with her problem. Inelda Nelson is dealing with dehydration and bronchitis. She is scheduled to see the doctor on Wednesday and Friday of next week. She asks for our prayers. Gladys Ingram fell and broke her knee cap in several places. Jane Holley had her medication adjusted to see if there is an improvement. Vicki Powell had a partial knee replacement surgery on Wednesday and is in St. Bernard’s, room 2119. Bill Coy was admitted to the hospital this past week. He may have some infection and has high blood pressure. He is in NEA Baptist, room 329. Berniece Burleson has been diagnosed with leukemia CML. She will be taking her chemotherapy by pill and is experiencing some of its side-effects. Please keep her in your prayers. Dylan Crawford’s (Francie Workman’s cousin) had emergency surgery last Sunday morning. He is a student at ASU. Shirley Morgan (Cathy Hoffman’s sister) has been admitted to NEA Baptist, room 219 in very serious condition. The doctor’s have discovered a mass that is inoperable. Also keep in your prayers: Doris Beeler, Homer Lloyd, Sheila Nix, Emily Workman (Terry Joe and Martha’s daughter), Brenda Williams, Bethel Spencer, Shirley Morgan (Cathy Hoff-man’s sister), Steve Lands (Marshall & Lila Lands’ son) Rose Blanchard (Scottie Blanchard’s mother) and all those on the Prayer Request list posted on each bulletin board. Work Team #2 (Hal Baugh) need to see their captain to pick-up assignments. Ladies Night Out is scheduled for July 16 th at 6:30 pm, Lazarri’s on Caraway. There will be a Ladies Meeting next Sunday evening after services in room 10. July 23rd thru Sept. 3 rd Ratna Raju Rapaka from India will be visiting with the Tucker’s.
