Welcome my good friends in Jesus, to the NOVENA TO THE HOLY SPIRIT. In Preparation to the Novena to the Nativity of our Blessed Lady and Queen Mary, Amen. This Special Novena to our God, the Holy Spirit, will be for Those who are being persecuted all over the world, especially in the Middle East, who are giving their lives for Jesus. Because they prefer Dying, than to offend God our Father, by denying that Jesus is His Only Begotten Son, Amen. For the sick, the poor, the abandoned by negligence, especially the aborted babies. For the Blessed Souls of Purgatory. For Pope Francis, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI and Their Prayers. And for our own prayer intentions, ( mention them here, in the silence of your hearts ). HOLY SPIRIT One of my Favorite nine day Novenas. The Holy Spirit Novena Prayer O Holy Spirit, divine Consoler! I adore you as my True God. I bless You by uniting myself to the praises You receive from the angel and saints. I offer You my whole heart, and I render You heartfelt thanks for all the benefits You have bestowed and do unceasingly bestow upon the world. You are the author of all supernatural gifts and who did enrich with immense favors the soul of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, I beseech you to visit me by Your grace and Your love, and grant me the favor I so earnestly seek in this novena. (mention your request) O Holy Spirit, spirit of truth, come into our hearts: shed the brightness of your light on all nations, that they may one faith and pleasing to You. Amen Come, O Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful, and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Novena to the Holy Spirit Day 1. Novena to the Holy Spirit Day 2O Holy Spirit, make me faithful in every thought, and grant that I may always listen to your voice, and watch for Your light, and follow Your gracious inspirations. I cling to You, and give myself to You, and ask You by Your compassion to watch over me in my weakness. Holding the pierced feet of Jesus, looking at His Five Wounds, trusting in His Precious Blood, adoring His opened side and stricken heart, I implore You adorable Spirit, helper of my infirmity, to keep me in Your grace, now and always, and grant us the favor we ask in this novena… State your request here… O Holy Spirit, spirit of truth, come into our hearts, Amen. ____________ A Litany to the Holy Spirit This Litany to the Holy Spirit was prepared using the traditional form of a litany. The contents of the litany are based on scripture, the Book of Common Prayer, and an Eastern Orthodox prayer to the Holy Spirit. O God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth, Have mercy upon us. Holy Spirit, who has spoken through the Prophets, Open our ears. Holy Spirit, who enlightens and strengthens for your service, Dwell in us. Holy Spirit, who in the beginning moved and brooded over the face of the waters, Move and brood over our lives. Holy Spirit, who is God’s life-giving breath, Breathe in us. Holy Spirit, who blew through the Valley of Dry Bones giving life, Enliven us. Holy Spirit, who overshadowed Mary that she might give birth to the Son of God, Grace us to give birth to the divine in our time and place. Holy Spirit, who rested on Jesus at his baptism, Rest upon us and renew our baptismal life. Holy Spirit, who as a tongue of fire rested on and filled the apostles, Burn in us with the power of your love. Holy Spirit, who descended on the day of Pentecost, Teach us and lead us into all truth. Holy Spirit, who descended on the day of Pentecost, Unite us in the confession of one faith. Holy Spirit, who descended on the day of Pentecost, Empower us to serve you as a royal priesthood. Holy Spirit, who descended on the day of Pentecost, Encourage us to preach the gospel to all nations. Come Holy Spirit, Our souls inspire. Spirit of understanding, Come. Spirit of counsel, Come. Spirit of fortitude, Come. Spirit of knowledge, Come. Spirit of piety, Come. Spirit of Godly fear, Come. With the fruit of love, Fill us. With the fruit of joy, Fill us. With the fruit of peace, Fill us. With the fruit of patience, Fill us. With the fruit of generosity, Fill us. With the fruit of gentleness, Fill us. With the fruit of self-control. Fill us. Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, Send us the Advocate. Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, Send us the Spirit of Truth. O Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of Truth who are present everywhere, filling all things, Treasury of Good, and Giver of Life, Come and dwell in us, cleanse us of every stain, and save our souls, O Good One. Holy Spirit, you came as Christ’s own first gift for those who believe, that we might no longer live for ourselves, but for him who died and rose for us: Complete his work in the world and bring to fulfillment the sanctification of all. Amen. Almighty and merciful Lord, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Bless us and keep us. Amen. O Blessed Spirit of God, we thank You, for Choosing our Lady Mary, to Be the Beloved Mother of Your Son Jesus. Hear our Prayers for the victims of hatred in the Middle East. And for their persecutors, that Your Holy Spirit may Fill their evil hearts and convert them, with Your Fire of Love, Truth and Forgiveness. Amen.
